Pre-Health Advising
Welcome! Are you interested in medical, dentistry, nursing, physician assistant, or physical therapy programs? If so, LifeLaunch help you achieve your aspirations as we will work together to ensure you have completed all of the requirements and are a strong candidate for your pre-health journey.
Requirements
Successfully meeting ALL of your requirements, requires strategic planning, dedication, and accurate information. Together, we will ensure your clinical (e.g., CNA, EMT, medical scribe, dental tech, etc.), service, and research experiences are both relevant and impactful.
Essays/Application
Depending on your program you will have anywhere from 5-12 required essays per school including your primary essay. We will create a strategy to complete your essays in a timely manner and ensure the content is relevant, captivating, personal, and strong. We will also identify strong recommenders and create a strategy to obtain targeted recommendations.
Identifying Schools
Depending on the degree you are seeking it is not uncommon to apply to 20+ schools. We will work together identifying well matched programs using the accredited governing body of your field. You will learn about how to identify schools that match your interests and qualifications.
Activities Section
The activities section is an opportunity to share details about your clinical, service, and research experiences in detail. You will also have an opportunity to share any of your shadowing experiences (not considered clinical) in this section as well. It’s your time to shine!
GAP Year
While many students choose to apply to their pre-health program without a gap year, it has increasingly become the norm to have a minimum of one gap year prior to applying to your program of choice. This is in large part due to the increase of requirements per program. Together we will create an individualized plan to maximize your time and efforts elevating your chances of getting into the school of your choice.
Successful Interviewing
Interviewing is a skill best practiced. We will complete targeted mock interviews using the STAR method to address the different types of interviews. You will feel very prepared to answer traditional, case style, behavioral, and MMI questions.
